Structural Integration in Hollywood, FL

Not a technique aimed at whichever part hurts today. A planned series that works through the whole body and the way it holds itself up.

01What It Is

What is structural integration?

Structural Integration is the only hands-on work here organized as a series rather than a single treatment. Your body is one connected fascial system holding you up against gravity, and when one part of it shortens, everything else quietly rearranges to compensate. A pelvis that sits tipped forward changes what your ribs do. That changes how you breathe. That changes where pressure lands every time you cough, lift, or laugh, and the pelvic floor is what catches it. Chasing the sore area does not touch that. So the sessions move through the body region by region in a deliberate order: free the fascia in one area, see what it changes above and below, then build on that at the next visit. Postural assessment and movement education run alongside the hands-on work, so the alignment you leave with is one your body can actually hold.

Tanya Magney, PTA, C-IAYT, LMT, is trained in Structural Integration along with visceral manipulation, yoga therapy, and massage, and this work draws on that combination. Visits run 30 to 60 minutes, one on one, in a private room. At the evaluation you will be told what the series is likely to look like for your body rather than being sold a package before anyone has assessed you. Florida is a direct-access state, so no physician referral is needed to begin. Ronda will tell you what visits cost before you book anything: (954) 842-3825.

02Who It's For

Who Structural Integration in Hollywood helps.

This is for people whose problem is a pattern rather than a place. If treating the painful area keeps working and then keeps wearing off, the pattern underneath it is what needs the attention.

01

Pain that moves as soon as you fix it

You get the hip settled and the low back starts up. You settle the back and the tailbone flares. Nothing here is imaginary and nothing is random: your body is redistributing the same load around a restriction it has never let go of. Working the whole chain in sequence is how that pattern gets interrupted instead of relocated.

02

Breathing and posture that load the floor

You hold your ribs flared and your belly gripped, so every breath pushes down instead of out and the pelvic floor absorbs that all day long. Freeing the fascia through the trunk, then retraining how you stand and breathe, takes the constant downward pressure off and gives those muscles a chance to work like a spring again.

03

Years of compensation after pregnancy or surgery

Carrying a pregnancy, recovering from a c-section, or guarding a painful area for years leaves an organized pattern behind, and that pattern does not undo itself when the original problem resolves. A structured series unwinds it in an order that makes sense, so your body is never asked to change everything at once.

03What To Expect

What to expect in a session.

Each visit carries a plan forward from the one before it. You are not starting over every time you walk in.

01

Standing assessment

You stand, walk, breathe, and bend while your therapist watches how weight travels through you and where it stops travelling. Simple measures or photographs may be taken so change is visible later. You hear plainly what pattern was found, described in ordinary language rather than posture jargon.

02

Working the region for the day

Slow, deep, directed pressure along the fascial lines of one region, usually with you moving a limb or breathing into the contact rather than lying passive. The sensation is strong: a deep, warm stretch through tissue that has been short for years. Uncomfortable at moments, never sharp, and you set the ceiling.

03

Re-checking and homework

You stand again and your therapist shows you what actually changed. Then you leave with one or two things to practice: a way to sit, a way to breathe, a way to load a step. Most people feel taller and slightly unfamiliar for a day, and that odd feeling fades as the new position stops being new.

What this is not

Structural Integration is not a spa treatment, and it is not a posture cure delivered in a single visit. It is a sequence, and the sequence only holds if the movement education travels with it. Hands can change tissue in an hour. What keeps that change is how you stand, breathe, and load your body for the rest of the week, which is why every session sends you home with something to practice.
