Pelvic Health Physical Therapist in Hollywood, FL
Wellsprings Health is a boutique pelvic health practice founded in 2014 by Dr. Leslie Wakefield. In her words: "I created Wellsprings Health with a simple vision: to build an environment where both patients and therapists can truly thrive." We are hiring a physical therapist who wants a caseload small enough to think about. Pelvic health experience is preferred, but a real interest in the specialty and a willingness to train is enough to start the conversation.
The questions a therapist actually asks.
A licensed physical therapist treating pelvic health at our Hollywood clinic. Wellsprings Health is a boutique practice specializing in pelvic health care for both women and men, so this is the whole job, not a specialty squeezed into the edges of a general caseload. You carry your own patients, with the clinical director and the team available throughout.
Pelvic pain, bladder and bowel dysfunction, sexual health concerns, pregnancy and postpartum recovery, and core and pelvic floor dysfunction. A good share of these patients arrive after months or years of looking for answers, having been told their symptoms are normal or that nothing more can be done. Complex, persistent cases that did not respond to prior care are a regular part of the week here, not the exception.
It is preferred, not required. If you have a genuine interest in the specialty and you are willing to pursue the training, we would like to hear from you. What matters as much is whether you enjoy careful evaluation and clinical problem solving, and whether you are comfortable working independently while still belonging to a team.
Structured, not incidental. The mentorship program supports therapists through training, clinical guidance and direct collaboration with the clinical director and the team as you build expertise in evaluating and treating pelvic health conditions. In practice that means refining hands-on skills, strengthening clinical reasoning, and working through the difficult cases in ongoing discussion rather than alone with a chart.
One therapist, one patient, one private treatment room. Visits run 30 to 60 minutes and the room is yours for the whole of it. If you have been worn down by high-volume scheduling that leaves no space for a thorough evaluation or a complicated case, this is the part of the job that will feel different in the first week.
It opens with a full onboarding process built to establish confidence, clinical clarity and alignment with our standards of care from day one. Structured mentorship follows, with individual guidance, collaboration and ongoing feedback aimed at sharpening clinical reasoning. Mindset, skill set and relationship building carry equal weight here.
With AI-supported documentation systems and paid documentation time, so your notes are not something you finish at home. There is also support staff in place to keep administrative load off the clinicians. The intent is that your clinical hours stay clinical, and that the day ends when the day ends.
401K with matching, health benefit support, vision and dental insurance, and paid time off. On the professional side: CEU support and continuing education funding for ongoing pelvic health training, structured mentorship, and support staff to reduce admin overload. Relocation assistance is available. Specific compensation is not posted here, so ask when you get in touch.
Yes, and it is deliberate. Wellsprings is being built to hold whole careers rather than posts, and opportunities are created from within on purpose. Leadership positions, mentoring other clinicians, program development and operational roles are all pathways actively cultivated for people who are engaged and aligned with the mission.
Four things get named out loud here: professionalism, heart-centered care, clinical curiosity and collaboration. Therapists work independently with their own patients, then compare notes and share ideas when a case turns stubborn. There is genuine camaraderie, room for connection and ease inside a working day, and a standard nobody apologizes for holding.
Someone who enjoys the detective work inside a complicated pelvic health case and takes pride in the therapeutic relationship rather than the throughput. Someone committed to ongoing learning, comfortable with independence, and steady with the discretion this work asks for. The work is meaningful and at times it is demanding. It asks for presence and curiosity, and it returns the effort.
The practice sits at 2404 Hollywood Blvd, Hollywood, FL 33020, serving Hollywood and the wider Broward and north Miami-Dade area. Posted clinic hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm, with no weekend clinic. Your own schedule is set in conversation with the clinical director.
Email info@wellspringshealth.net with your resume and a short note about what draws you to pelvic health, or call (954) 842-3825 and ask about the role. Wellsprings Health is family owned and operated by Dr. Leslie Wakefield, so the conversation starts with the person who built the practice.
